It’s show week for David which means our schedule is full, but James and I are getting lots of quality time together. I also finished up the material for my e-course, From Blog Series to Ebook (if you want to join us, tomorrow is the last day!).
We’ve been busy church-wise lately. We did a free photo session for families with special-needs that went great. Then we had a big Texans watching party at our house. On Sunday morning we’re meeting at our future location to pray over the space and talk about our plans. And in November our small group Bible study is moving from Wednesday nights to Sunday nights. Hopefully more people will be able to attend. Lee also started a new job this week as the office manager for a church in the area. It’s twenty hours a week, which will give him more time to focus on Journey stuff. Such a blessing!

I read The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery and started She Reads Truth. Learning more about the enneagram has been so helpful to us in the last year and a half. I can more quickly identify when I’m slipping into unhealthy sin patterns. She Reads Truth is not what I expected and I have a tall stack of books I want to read, so I may not finish it.
From my Bible:
The book I’m working on a proposal for is taking a new direction I’m excited about, and for that new direction I’m thinking a lot about our faith foundation and what happens to it when the storms hit. So Matthew 7:24-27 is where I’ve been hanging out this week.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Have a wonderful weekend!
