Inclusion beyond children’s ministry includes individuals moving from receiving ministry to doing ministry. Teens and adults want to truly belong and use their gifts to build up the church.
- Remember children grow up and we need to make plans for them to still be part of our church
- Break down barriers and adjust our expectations (sometimes raising those expectations)
- Listen to more disabled voices and learn from their experiences
- As disability-inclusive leaders, we model for others dimensions of belonging and stages of inclusion
